The Cliff Henderson Memorial Fund

The Cliff Henderson Memorial Fund was established by members of Fire Departments located in the Ligonier Valley in memory of their friend and brother, and to honor the memory of Cliff.  Cliff was a member of Fairfield Township Volunteer Fire Company #1 and served as Chief for a number of years.  He was diagnosed with cancer and passed away at the age of 62.

The purpose of the fund is to provide financial support for cancer survivors, victims and their families who reside in the Ligonier Valley School District Area*, as well as Donegal Township and Donegal Borough.  The fund would assist the individual or family with the basic necessities of life, such as food, medical expenses, housing and clothing.

The advisors of the fund will award up to two (2) $500 grants each calendar year.

*The Ligonier Valley School District Area is defined as: Cook Township, Ligonier Township, Ligonier Borough, Fairfield Township, Bolivar Borough, New Florence Borough, Seward Borough, St. Clair Township, and Laurel Mountain Township.

Update 4/26/10

To All Fire Departments in the Ligonier Valley School District.

Please be advised that due to an increase in donations and return on investments, that the Cliff Henderson memorial Fund will be able to make up to three grants during this fiscal year in the amounts of $500 each.

To donate to this fund or to apply for assistance from the fund, please contact any fire department in the areas listed above.

Also, for more information please contact Bill Botti at 724-420-5788 at your convenience.
