About Us Print this page

Welcome to Fairfield Township Volunteer Fire Company #1. Founded back in 1954 after many meetings in local firefighters garages and the initial housing of apparatus at the Fairfield Community Center. Much sweat and back ache were seen during the building of the hall.
Above is one of the founding members of our department laying the brick on the side of the orignal social hall.
Below are pictures of some of the first trucks used by this department. These apparatus include the first fire engine, our beloved "duce and a half" and our first squad truck. The last two pictures include the new 1978 GMC Engine as well as the '78 "Attack" truck after our apparatus was updated.
